Dear Parents and Carers of Year 1 and Year 2,
I hope you are all well and that you have enjoyed your half term break.
I am writing to inform you that Mr Howard has asked for a reduction in his hours and a change in his role at St George’s from today which means he will no longer be the class teacher for Year 1 and Year 2. Mr Howard has made this decision based on his personal circumstances and, as a school, we 100% support him with this decision.
In light of this, Mrs Douglass, will be the Year 1 and Year 2 Class Teacher for the remainder of the academic year. Miss Masterson will continue on as the Year 1 and Year 2 Teaching Assistant. Mr Howard will be working across the school during his hours supporting teaching and learning in various classrooms and covering Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time for other class teachers.
Mrs Douglass brings a wealth of experience to the class teacher role and she already knows the children really well and has been working alongside Mr Howard prior to February half term.
