Autumn 2025

An incredibly busy week in year 3-4 during which some amazing team work has been shown. Year 3 learned lots of new skills during cricket and we all helped each other during DT as we made our own leavers with linkages to demonstrate different movement.
In science we analysed our own food diaries as part of our healthy eating investigation and enjoyed picking apples in the school garden - they were yummy!
Glockenspiel started this week - it was more challenging than it looked but we all worked really hard!

Another busy week in year 3-4. Negative numbers have been perplexing this week but we have made great progress moving forwards, backwards and ordering them. In English we continue to enjoy Alice in Wonderland - a brilliant performance has been enjoyed by all. We have used a dictionary and a thesaurus to identify powerful adjectives and find synonyms - phew!
In DT we have designed our pop up card using levers and look forward to making them. Chinese was very exciting as we began to learn a whole new language and a different way of writing. Well done everyone for another super week.
Thank you to everyone who was able to come along to our reading cafe this week, it was brilliant to be able to talk to you all and share some stories about your favourite books. Year 3-4 also enjoyed some time in the library this week as we talked about books we liked to read and why.
English has been wonderful this week as we have developed ideas about Alice, using exciting adjectives and similes in our writing and then working together to make our writing even better.
Our fact hunt to investigate vitamins and minerals in science was very informative and collectively we agreed that even though some foods are very good for us - they are definitely not our favourites!
