Our Piccolo Music teachers were very impressed with our participation this week. We walked through the jungle as different animals and used the instruments to keep the beat to the song. Well done Early Years!
Reception have begun their phonic lessons, learning a letter a day. We’ve looked at what the letter looks like, how it sounds, how to write it using the correct formation, and used it in words.
Early Years have also crafted cupcakes and decorated tea cups to add to our Tea Party role play area.
Week beginning 15th September 2025
Early Years enjoyed their first Piccolo music session of the school year, listening to instructions and joining in the songs with the actions.
We loved watching the Alice in Wonderland performance this week! Early Years sat beautifully, thoroughly engrossed and joined in the fun! We have loved acting out the story too, ‘drinking’ from bottles to make us shrink or grow too big, and enjoying tea parties!
Thank you to the parents who joined us for the Reception Phonic and Reading Workshop, we love inviting you into school to work with us and are all excited to start our phonic journey together.
Week beginning 8th September 2025
Early Years loved their first PE lesson of the school year. Our gymnastics teacher was very impressed with our listening and turn taking skills. We stretched to warm up in different ways and then learned how to do pencil rolls and roly polys on the mats.
We enjoyed exploring the outdoor grass area; playing ball games, throwing and catching, digging, and watering the plants we have grown.
Another busy, fun filled week!
Week beginning 1st September 2025
Welcome to our new friends in Early Years - you have settled in beautifully! We have all enjoyed exploring the areas, both indoor and outdoor this week. Particularly enjoying playing with the sand and water, and in the home corner making dinner for each other.
We have been reading ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’, joining in with the repeated phrases and role playing the characters.
We are very much looking forward to this year ahead and all of the learning and fun we will have together!
