School Uniform Update 15.9.2023

15th September 2023

Dear Parents and Carers of St George’s,

RE: School Uniform Update

Thank you to each and every one of our families who have supported us wholeheartedly with our school uniform change this year. I’m sure you’ll agree, the children look wonderfully smart and it is so lovely having the whole school in one colour for their uniform. To help with the transition into the new uniform, we have a stock of grey trousers, pinafores and skirts, plain white PE t-shirts and black/navy shorts for the children to borrow if they are running short of the correct uniform at home. These will be worn once, washed, dried and then returned to our uniform stockpile for future use.

We have also been contacted by a few parents/carers to ask if their child can wear black trousers, pinafores and skirts which still fit their child instead of the grey items. In the current economic climate this is more than acceptable but please do move to the new grey trousers, pinafores and skirts, as soon as possible.  Thank you.

Please ensure your child is in the correct uniform for school.

From September 2023, our school uniform is:

  • Grey pinafore or skirt
  • Grey trousers
  • White polo shirt
  • Bottle green jumper or cardigan
  • Black school shoes (not trainers)
  • Green and white checked dress/playsuit may be worn by girls and grey shorts by boys or girls

Jumpers, cardigans and polo shirts with school logo may be ordered from Top Class Uniforms Schools - TCU Group. Children are welcome to wear unbranded, plain jumpers, cardigans and polo shirts, provided they are in school colours (bottle green and white).

From September 2023, school PE kit will be:

  • Plain, unbranded white round neck t-shirt
  • Plain, unbranded black or navy shorts, leggings or track pants
  • Regular school jumper (not hoody/jacket)
  • Trainers

Swimming

A suitably sized towel

Girls – swimming costume (no bikinis or tankinis)

Boys – swimming shorts (not below the knee)

On days when children have PE, they should arrive at school in PE kit.

If your child is swimming, they should come to school wearing normal school uniform.

We also have a lot of preloved uniform items if any parents/carers need any spares at home.

Please visit our school website for more information about our new school uniform.
