Quayside and Baltic Trip

Wednesday 18th October

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Wednesday 18th October, Year 2 will be taking a trip to Newcastle Quayside and the Baltic, to coincide with our study of the characteristics and suitability of everyday materials in Science.

This will be a morning visit so your child will just be taking their water bottle – they will return to school in time for them to have their lunch at the usual time. Please send your child to school with a bag so they can carry their water bottle in it.  The weather forecast suggests that there will be light rain on Wednesday so please ensure that your child brings a waterproof coat to school.

We will be travelling to and from the Quayside by minibus, with the first group of children leaving school at 9:00 and the second group leaving at 9:30; regardless of which group your child is in, please ensure that your child is in school by 8:45am on that morning. We intend to have both groups back at school at 12:00, traffic permitting.

The children will be accompanied on the trip by Mrs Powell and myself alongside several other members of St George’s staff.

Thank you, as always, for all your support.

 Yours sincerely,

 Mr Adam Howard
