Dear Parents and Carers of St George’s,
Building update
We’ve had an incredibly busy few weeks with all of the building and refurbishment works and now all of the children at St George’s are in their new classrooms. We still have all of the communal areas to complete and work begins there over the half term.
Mrs Powell
Huge congratulations to Mrs Powell who has been asked to work as Acting Headteacher at another school in Northumberland. Mrs Powell has left us today and will carry out her secondment from Monday 19 February until the end of this academic year. Mrs Powell will be a huge miss at St George’s but I know she will make a fantastic impact at her new school – our loss is certainly their gain.
In her absence, Mrs Clarke will be in the role of Acting Deputy Headteacher and Mrs Douglass will be in the role of Acting SENCo until Mrs Powell returns.
I know you will join me in wishing Mrs Powell the very best of luck in her new Acting role and I know you will continue to work with both Mrs Clarke and Mrs Douglass in their respective roles.
