Dear Parents/Carers of St George’s,
I cannot believe that it’s the summer term already!
KS2 SATs Free Breakfast for all Y6 Pupils – Tuesday 9th May – Friday 12th May
We will be providing a free breakfast to all Y6 pupils during SATs week. SATs week is week beginning the 8 May 2023. The school is closed on Bank Holiday Monday 8 May to celebrate the King’s Coronation. The Y6 SATs begin on Tuesday 9th May.
Could Y6 children arrive at the main entrance to school for 8:15am and no earlier, please. There is a wide selection of items on the breakfast menu including cooked items, cereal and fruit so there is plenty of choice for everyone. Any younger siblings of the Y6 children who attend St George’s may access the Breakfast Club for free this week too. Please bring them to the main entrance also.
King’s Coronation Celebration Day
To celebrate the King’s Coronation, we are having a ‘street’ party on Friday 5 May which all children will attend together over an extended lunch break. The party lunch will be free to ALL children.
Children are invited to come into school in their own party clothes or dressed in red, white and/or blue.
Congratulations to His Majesty the King on his Coronation.
Reading Café
We are introducing a new event into our school calendar this term which parents and carers will be able to attend. We will be hosting Reading Cafes at 10.30am (approx) after each class's Mass in church.(for classes from Nursery through to Year 4) Please see the Dates for your Diary to see which date your child’s class are hosting. At the Reading Café, you will get the opportunity to read a range of books alongside your child in our lovely school setting. Light refreshments will also be available.
