Happy First Week Back, Year 1 and 2!

We have had a lovely start to the term and have settled back into school life really well. It has been a busy and positive week with lots of great learning.

In English, we completed our final piece of writing—a character description of Dilly Duckling. We worked hard to include descriptive language and also explored a range of character activities to help expand our ideas and understanding.

We have continued to care for our plants, showing responsibility and enthusiasm as we observe their growth. We have taken great pride in looking after them and understanding what they need to thrive.

In RE, we have been learning about Pentecost and also explored St George as part of our whole school focus. We really enjoyed joining Early Years and Reception for collective worship.

We have also enjoyed our time in the library, exploring new books and sharing stories together.

Well done for such a fantastic first week back! 🌟
