Another fantastic week in Year 1 and 2!

In English, we have written our own independent setting descriptions inspired by The Gruffalo. We thought carefully about how to describe the setting, using exciting and descriptive words to help bring our ideas to life for the reader.

In Maths, we have been focusing on position and direction. We practised using language such as forwards, backwards, left and right, and enjoyed applying this in fun activities.

In Art, we completed some beautiful artwork inspired by the wilderness landscapes of Paul Cézanne. We explored colour and texture to create our own imaginative scenes.

In PE, we have really enjoyed playing football this week. We focused on developing our goalkeeping skills and practised saving, positioning and control.
