Dear Parents and Carers ofSt George’s,
Ice-pop Fridays
FromMonday 20 April until the end of the summer term, our Student Council will beselling ice-pops for 50p on Fridays. This is both a fundraiser for the schooland a good way of keeping cool during the warmer months. The ice-pops havenatural colouring and flavouring and are suitable for vegetarians, vegans, andare gluten-free.
KS2 SATs Free Breakfastfor all Y6 Pupils - Monday 11 May to Thursday 14 May 2025
Asusual, we will be providing a free breakfast to all our Year 6 pupils duringKS2 SATs week from Monday 11 May to Thursday 14 May.
Pleasesend your child into school for 8.15am to the normal entrance on OttringhamClose. Mr Eagle will be there to meet the children.
Mary’s Meals
We will be collecting anyspare foods or toiletries in May to donate to our local foodbanks. Please sendin any items you can with your child. Thank you.
During the month of May, our school community willhonour Mary, the mother of Jesus, as Catholics around the world will celebrateher faith, gentleness, and love. May is “Mary’s month,” a special time whenchildren and families will reflect on Mary’s example and will ask her to guidethem closer to Jesus. This year, we will mark the occasion with a joyful Marianprocession to the grotto in St George’s Church grounds. Pupils will carryflowers, sing hymns, and gather in prayer.
